Cape Arundel Inn was built as a stately summer cottage in 1895
on famed Ocean Avenue in Kennebunkport, Maine.
|
| We are a unique property. Operating in a neighborhood of grand and
stately summer mansions, sitting high on a knoll we are afforded breathtaking views of the
sea and crashing surf. Our views stretch from Goat Island light house to the shore
line of Wells, Ogunquit and York. Off to one side sits Walkers Point and beyond it
Cape Porpoise. Leave our front door to walk, jog, bike along Ocean Avenue to Colony
Beach, Spouting Rock and Blowing Cave. Find a niche in the rocks and burrow in with
a book. Smell the sea, feel the breeze, relax, contemplate, renew, find inspiration. |

|
| The porch is wonderful and wraps the building. It is a terrific place to settle
into the wicker furniture and to take in the sights, sounds and aromas of the sea that
stretches before us. Cape Arundel Inn sits high on a coastal knoll and affords its
guests sweeping and incomparable views of the Atlantic. |

In the morning lobster boats ply their trade in our front yard. Throughout the
day schooners cross before us on their scenic tours. Off on the far horizon tankers
ply their route between Boston and Portland. Pleasure craft of every description,
often including "Fidelity", the power boat of President Bush, "The First
Fisherman", fill the sea only steps away from our front porch. |
| OK - YES - all of our rooms but
two have awesome views of the presidential estate. An oceanfront bed and breakfast
and restaurant with post card views of a presidential estate. No
where else in this world! |

An old proverb speaks to standing on the edge of the
ocean and looking out to sea.
When one does
Then all of one's
cares and worries are behind them.
