Cape Arundel Inn & Resort's Reservation Policies
Reservations: As Hotel Policies, Cape Arundel Inn & Resort reservations can be made by telephone or online. A room is not reserved until a credit card has been obtained for deposit. Please note: Upon confirmation of your reservation, you must pay the deposit as outlined below. A confirmation email will be sent to you. Should you not receive a confirmation email, you must contact us to ensure we have the correct information on file.
Deposit and Payment: All deposits will be charged when booking and apply to any date(s) of your reservation. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. Cash, check, and gift certificates issued by the Cape Arundel Inn & Resort and the Kennebunkport Resort Collection are also accepted. Purchase a KRC Gift Card! If you plan on using a gift certificate, please let us know at the time of booking. The following structure applies to calculate a deposit:
- One night: Full amount (including tax)
- 2+ nights: 50% of the total amount (including tax)
- Special sales and limited-time offers, including Plan Ahead, New Year’s Day Sale, Holiday Cyber Sale, April Fool’s Day Sale, etc., require a 100% deposit and are entirely non-refundable regardless of cancellation date.
Hotel Policies Cancellation
We are a small Kennebunkport hotel; therefore, cancellations affect us significantly. If you find it necessary to change or cancel your reservation,
- Standard Cancellation: We require a minimum of 14 days’ notice to receive a refund of your deposit, less a $50 administration fee.

Christmas Prelude: If your stay is reserved under our Christmas Prelude Rate, we require a minimum of 30 days' notice prior to arrival to receive a refund of your deposit, less a $50 administration fee. If you cancel within 30 days' of arrival, your full payment is non-refundable.

Group Reservations Policy: A 50% advance deposit is due at time of booking. We will refund your deposit, less a $50 administrative fee up to 60 days prior to arrival. Remaining 50% of booking is due 60 days prior to arrival, at which time the reservation becomes non-refundable and non-modifiable.

Special sales and limited-time offers, including Plan Ahead, New Year’s Day Sale, Holiday Cyber Sale, April Fool’s Day Sale, etc., require a 100% deposit and are entirely non-refundable regardless of cancellation date.
If you cancel your trip on the above-mentioned days, your reservation is non-cancelable and non-refundable, and your deposit will be lost. Please note guests are always welcome to send a friend or family member to take their place as a Cape Arundel Inn & Resort guest.
Additional Information For The Hotel Policies
Minimum Stays: 2, sometimes 3-night minimum stays are required during peak season and for all major holiday weekends. If our availability allows for a one-night stay, we may make an exception to the minimum stay policy.
Additional Persons: All rooms are quoted for double occupancy. A third person may be accommodated for an additional $50 per person per night in select rooms. Please note the Cape Arundel Inn & Resort does not have pull-out sofas, cots, or portable cribs.

Check-in/out: Check-in is guaranteed by 3:00 p.m.; remember to contact the hotel before arrival if you would like to request an earlier check-in time. Should you arrive after the desk has closed, please call the front desk for instructions on retrieving your room key. Check-out time is before 11:00 a.m. Late check-outs are based on availability and may incur an additional fee.
Age Requirement: To ensure a safe and comfortable stay for all our guests, we require that individuals be at least 21 years of age to reserve and check into a room.
Pet Policy: Cape Arundel Inn & Resort hotel rooms are not pet-friendly, but the Ivy Cottage can accommodate dogs. Our sister hotels, The Lodge on the Cove, Luxury Cottages at Hidden Pond, and the Yachtsman Hotel and Marina Club, are dog-friendly hotels in Kennebunkport, ME.
Smoking: Cape Arundel Inn & Resort is 100% non-smoking. There is a $250 cleaning fee if we find guests have smoked in or outside of the rooms.
Alcohol: Due to Maine State Law, only “Inn Served” alcoholic beverages can be consumed in public areas, including our veranda. If you wish to bring alcohol, it can only be consumed in the privacy of your room.
Taxes & Fees: A resort fee of $35 per night, a 9% Maine State Sales Tax, a 2% Destination Fee, and a 1% Community Impact Fee are applied to all room reservations.
- Included in the nightly resort fee is: wireless internet access, beach cruiser bikes (seasonal), two-hour kayak rental (seasonal), on-site parking, and use of the resort's Club House Pool and Lounge.
- Our Destination Fee is collected to assist in marketing Kennebunkport as a destination, expanding local activities and events, and other tourist development projects.
- The Kennebunkport Resort Collection is committed to keeping the Kennebunks a welcoming locale and building up our community through charitable and service initiatives. Our focuses are affordable housing, protecting wildlife habitats, and creating spaces for the youth of our community.

Winter Front Desk Hours: Our front desk is open daily, Sunday-Thursday, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Friday-Saturday, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. We recommend guests contact us via email at stay@capearundelinn.com outside of regular business hours.
Errors and Omissions: Our website and booking engine may contain technical inaccuracies and typographical errors, including but not limited to inaccuracies relating to pricing or availability applicable to your transaction. Cape Arundel Inn & Resort does not assume responsibility or liability for such inaccuracies, errors, or omissions. We reserve the right to make changes, corrections, and improvements to our website and booking engine and the products and programs described in such information at any time without notice, including after transaction confirmation.
